Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou them, O God, who confess their faults. Restore thou those who are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesu our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

O Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. Great is Your power, and of Your wisdom there is no end. We, Your creatures, desire to praise You, but we bear with us our mortality, our sinfulness, and our pride. Father, empty our hearts of sin, and fill us with Your redeeming Spirit. For our hearts are restless until they rest in You.

For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in Your will, and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your Name. Amen.

Eternal God, in You, we live and move and have our being, but Your face is hidden from us by our sins. In the blindness of our hearts, we forget Your mercy. Cleanse us from all our iniquities, and deliver us from all proud thoughts and vain desires, that with lowliness and meekness we may draw near to You in prayer, confessing our sins, confiding in Your grace, and finding in You our refuge and our strength, our hope and our salvation; through Jesus Christ Your Son. Amen.

Most holy and merciful Father; we acknowledge and confess in Your Presence our sinful nature, prone to evil and slothful in good, and all our shortcomings and offenses against You. You alone know how often we have sinned: in wandering from Your ways; in wasting Your gifts; in forgetting Your love. O Lord, have pity upon us who are ashamed and sorry for all the ways we have displeased You. Teach us to hate our errors; cleanse us from our secret faults; and forgive our sins; for the sake of Your dear Son our Savior. And O most holy and loving Father, send Your purifying grace into our hearts, we pray; that we may hereafter live in Your light and walk in Your ways; according to the commandments of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O holy God, we are ashamed to lift our faces to You, our God, for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has mounted up to the heavens. But now Your favor has been shown to us, to leave us a remnant and to give us a secure inheritance with Christ, that You may brighten our eyes and grant us revival in our slavery. For we are slaves to sin. O God, forsake us not in our slavery, but extend to us Your steadfast love. O Lord, God of Israel, have mercy on us and prepare us to enter into Your presence.

Our God and Father, most gracious and full of compassion, have mercy upon us in the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. And as You blotted out our sins and stains, magnify and increase in us day by day the grace of Your Holy Spirit, that as we acknowledge our unrighteousness with all our heart, we may be moved by that sorrow which shall bring forth true repentance in us, mortifying all our sins, and producing in us fruits of righteousness and innocence which are pleasing to You, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty, everlasting God and Father, we confess and acknowledge to You that we were conceived in unrighteousness, and are full of sin and transgression in all our life, as those who do not perfectly believe Your Word nor follow Your holy commandments. We implore You, remember Your goodness and for Your name’s sake be gracious to us and forgive us our wrongdoing, which indeed is great. Amen.

O God, have mercy on us according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity, and cleanse us from our sin! For we know our transgressions, and our sin is ever before us. Purge us with hyssop, and we shall be clean; wash us, and we shall be whiter than snow. Let us hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from our sins, and blot out all our iniquities. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Cast us not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, and uphold us with a willing spirit. Amen.

O God of our salvation, do not remember against us our former iniquities; let Your compassion come speedily to meet us, for we are brought very low. Help us, O God, for the glory of Your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for Your Name’s sake!
